Some doctors state that apple cider vinegar isn’t a effective weight loss solution. While others concede that there isn’t enough scientific research to make a case for it .

Scientific Evidence
Clinical trial recently published in the Journal of Functional Food showed that ACV might help with weight loss.
The participants drank 15 ml of ACV with lunch and dinner (a total of 2 tablespoons). They also ate a diet that was 250 calories less than their daily estimated requirements.
The researchers found that ACV significantly reduced weight. In fact, the people in the ACV group lost an average of 8.8 lbs over 12 weeks.

Is it safe
Despite the many benefits that ACV provides, it is in no means perfect. Drinking it without diluting it in water it may cause damage to your esophagus.
One study found that drinking apple cider vinegar may damage tooth enamel as well.

- May cause indigestion
- May affect Potassium levels
- May result in bone loss (extreme example)
- May interact with certain drugs
My experience with ACV
Here’s some context.
When I decided to take ACV, as mentioned, I was 54 at the time and weighed 268 pounds. The second highest weight ever.
Being a former athlete, and although carrying an 50 extra pounds I had a good amount of muscle I knew would aid in metabolizing my fat.
I also was prediabetic at the time and was having diabetic related issues.
In fact, it looked as though all signs were pointing towards me becoming diabetic and having to start taking insulin medication.
That was until the aid of apple cider vinegar diet.
Length of use
I took the apple cider vinegar drink for approximately 6 weeks.
Amount of Weight Loss
I Lost 41 pounds or one pound of fat per day over that span.

How I got the most from taking Apple Vinegar
- Took acv 3 times a day for six weeks
- Exercised for a 30 minutes per day
- Drank green tea 2 – 3 times a day

How to prepare the dressing
Step 1.
Take a small bowl
Step 2.
Pour a tablespoon of apple cider vinegar in the bowl. Then add 1 – 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil. Next add about a half of teaspoon of each of the remaining ingredients to the bowl.
Finally, mix everything together for about 2 or 3 minutes.
How to take apple cider vinegar
You need two things. One bottle of 100% raw unfiltered apple cider vinegar and a case of filtered water.
Pour one bottle of water into at least an 8 oz glass then place 2 teaspoons of the apple cider vinegar in the glass of water. Stir for a few seconds. Then drink.

If you want to make it by the glass then use the same amount of ACV and water we mentioned in the original recipe. 2 teaspoons of Apple cider vinegar in 8 oz of water. Then add a half teaspoon of cayenne pepper and 2 or 3 squeezes of lemon.
Summary
Although Apple Cider Vinegar can help with weight loss it is not a magical elixir. To get the most from taking the apple cider vinegar diet you should do so along with a sensible diet and exercise.
Also adding either a fat burning supplement and or weight loss tea can prove beneficial as well.
